"The Cloudy Lady" is an interactive digital picture book that I created during my PhD in 2018. The story is presented on an iPad, and it unfolds seamlessly by using natural visual elements applied in illustrations, instead of relying on common arrows, icons, and pagination methods. The interaction is by omnidirectional scrolling, and various features such as a loop structure, sound, and animation effects were implemented to enhance eye guidance and improve the interaction. The story is exclusively written and designed for the presented book format, and it showcases the theme of dedication and nature conservation with conviction. The story revolves around a character called the Cloudy Lady, who lives in the sky and has hair made of clouds. When a pond is about to dry out, a group of animals wants to save the lake by asking the Cloudy Lady to come down and help the pond. It's an ethnic story that teaches us the importance of taking care of nature, and it's sure to inspire both children and adults alike to take action and do their part in protecting our planet.
