Simple Meal

This series called "Simple Meal" was inspired by Pablo Picasso's painting "Simple Meals" from 1904. The series consists of four paintings, each measuring 100x100 cm, painted with an acrylic technique I created in 2004, exactly 100 years after the original painting.

With these four paintings, I have attempted to expand the story of "Simple Meal" to various occasions and portray them based on my personal experiences.

Classic Womanhood

"A Triptych of Classic Womanhood" stands as my graduation project, comprised of a trio of paintings measuring 100x70 cm each, crafted on canvas using acrylics. Completed in 2007, this series captures the three pivotal phases of a classic woman's life: love, pregnancy, and motherhood. Infused with cultural motifs from the Middle East, my works pulsate with warm-toned hues, echoing the innate femininity and cultural richness inherent in each stage of womanhood.

Seated Prophets

Seated Prophets was a multimedia project I worked on from 2002 to 2003. Spanning various sizes, scales, and techniques, this series offers a contemplative portrayal of contemporary women engaged in everyday activities, often depicted seated or immersed in mundane yet profound moments. Through this project, I aimed to show my appreciation for the meditative simplicity and the magic of women. The execution and color tones are mainly earthy, reminiscent of mother earth.
