About the Artist

カガズチ. ネガルは、イラン・テヘラン生まれ、現在日本を拠点に活動するアーティストです。絵画やインスタレーションなど、さまざまなメディアを駆使して、想像力、変容、女性性といったテーマを探求しています。

東京電機通信大学でメディアアートの博士号を取得後、テヘラン大学でグラフィックデザインの修士号、美術学士(絵画)を取得。
カガズチはイランと日本の両国で作品を発表しており、現在、東京の多摩美術大学で講師を務めています。

 

Negar Kaghazchi is a Japan-based Iranian artist, born in Tehran in 1984. Working across various media, including painting and installation, her practice explores themes of imagination, transformation, and femininity.

She holds a Ph.D. in New Media Art from the University of Electro-Communications (Tokyo), an M.F.A. in Graphic Design from Tehran University, and a B.F.A. in Painting.
Kaghazchi has exhibited her work in both Iran and Japan, and currently serves as a lecturer at Tama Art University in Tokyo.
